Sewing: Manly iPad case für iPad 2 and 3

Dear readers, here you see a new iPad Case for men! My husband complained about me sewing only stuff for girls, no manly things.

Well, since I don't want men to feel neglected: here comes and iPad case for you. For this one I combined cognac coloured fake leather with pinstriped linen. The flap can be closed with a silver grey press stud.

This iPad Case fits iPad 2 and 3. It is well lined, so the tablet is in good keeping inside of the case. If you are looking for a present for a man, you can get this case in our DaWanda shop.

Sewing: Hoot - iPad case finished

Dear readers, owls and fake leather - this combination will make a fine iPad case! I thought, and consequently sewed it. Some people had asked me to make a nice iPad case, so here it is.

My iPad case had to be fine and sweet. So I decided to make it look like an envelope. The back side and the flap are made out of high-quality fake leather, owls cover the front side. Using a press stud the case can be closed safely. Of course, the case is well lined.

I designed the pattern to fit the iPad 1 - and this tablet fits perfectly inside the case. However, every 10" tablet which is a little chubby (approx. 1 cm height) should fit well. This case is now available in our DaWanda shop!

Of course I have already designed a pattern for slim tablets like iPad 2 and 3 - the case will be finished soon. And my to do list also includes a case for iPad mini...

Sewing: Pillow-tripod

Dear readers, my husband really wanted such a pillow-tripod in order to stabilize his camera on every underground. No matter if it is a rock, a handrail or a fence post - you can stabilize your camera with such a pillow-tripod everywhere. It is also very useful, for example, if you like to take a photo of you and your partner and you don't want or can't ask somebody to take it.

Of course, this pillow has to meet my husband's requirements, so I sewed it myself. It has got two compartments, in order to fold up one side and stabilize the lens. In this way, the lens can rest in an elevated position and you can realize different angles of vision.

I sewed the pillow-tripod out of wool felt. This fabric doesn't soak up water. So, you can even place it on damp ground. After having used it on damp ground you should let it dry thoroughly. The filling (rice) balances uneven ground perfectly without slipping. There is even a strap for hanging and safety.

For visual effect I also employed colourful piping. When the first pillow-tripod was finished, a friend also wanted one - so I sewed another one. And of course another one... Please go to our DaWanda Shop if you want to have one, too.

Sewing: Hoot - a new smart phone case

Dear readers, a friend of mine wanted a new case for her smart phone, but she had a very special wish -  there should be owls on it. Of course, I decided to help her and fulfill her wish.

First of all, I sift through the internet for a cute owl fabric. It wasn't that easy because the owls shouldn't be too big and the colours should be fresh and fashionable. Finally, I found the perfect fabric!

Then I found the matching dark blue fabric with white polka dots - let's go! That is how I started to sew the customized smart phone case for my friend. Of course, this one has got two pockets for her smart phone and cards and it has a press stud. In my opinion, it is a very cute one!

Sewing: My first handbag

Oder was meint Ihr?

Dear readers, it took me some time to create my first handbag - first in my mind and finally in cotton fabric and linen. Now I've finished it and I am really happy with the result! It has pleats and it is orange, black and grey with a little bit of beige and white.

Furthermore I chose fabulous leather handles for this bag. I employed even two press studs for closing the bag - one located on a nice tab. Moreover, you can keep important things in the roomy zip pocket hidden in the lining. There are three more pockets where you can put things you need to access quickly.

Well, I think, this bag is the perfect companion - fashionable and practical. Do you agree? Since some of you have asked me, here the answer: Yes, I will offer diverse bags in my DaWanda shop, soon. Please be patient, I still need some time for this. In the meantime you may contact me and order customized bags.

Sewing: Smart phone case fever

Na, was sagt Ihr?

Dear readers, yesterday, I was inflamed with sewing and sewed even two smart phone cases.

In smart phone case fever, I sewed a fashionable case in orange, dark grey and beige for a small smart phone (fits for iPhone 4/4S or iPhone 3). The orange sloping flap is a nice contrast to the dark linen. It can be closed with a press stud.

Inside there are two pockets for your smart phone and cards. The back of the case is very plain - without any decoration.

Furthermore, I sewd another smart phone case, a sweet one with bow. This case with strawberries on bow, flap and lining fits for e. g. iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S2. With the black polka dot fabric in the background, the strawberry print is shown to its fullest advantage. Of course, this case also has two pockets inside and a press stud for closing.

So, what do you think? Two completely different cases, both basing on a pattern of pattydoo. If you would like to have one of the cases (or a similar one), please contact me.

Sewing: Finished my first smart phone case

Dear readers, I've just finished my first smart phone case! For this one I used fine linen and combined it with cute cotton fabric - resulting in a simple but not at all boring case.

I sewed this smart phone case according to a fantastic pattern of pattydoo. The bow and the press stud makes it very pretty. And the two pockets inside for smart phone and cards make it so practical, too! It is made for iPhone 5 or Samsung Galaxy S2, but an iPhone 4 also fits fine.

Now, I am so keen on sewing the next one. How do you like it? If you like to have this case (or a similar one), please contact me. I will be happy to sew one for your smart phone.

Well now I wish you a good Sunday - I hope you are having good weather, here it rained cats and dogs this morning.

Sewing: Dog collar finished

Dear readers, my new sewing project has just been finished - it is a dog collar! A quite fashionable one, in my opinion.

The first dog collar I sewed according to Meike Damerius' instruction is now worn by the sweet Labrador belonging to our neighbors. He was a good patient photographic model - for a few minutes.

I sewed this dog collar fitting his size. But if he should grow some more, it can be enlarged. I used genuine leather and sturdy webbing. Due to the D-ring, you are able to fasten a leash. The woven ribbon with flowers and owls on it makes the collar an eye-catcher.

What do you think? Doesn't his new dog collar look nice on him?

Sewing: BIG make-up bag

Dear readers, is your make-up bag too small? Well, then you need a BIG make-up bag! My friend was in the same situation, so I sewed her a new roomy bag for all her cosmetics.

In such a big make-up bag you might lose count easily, so I included three pockets inside of the bag. I also added a handle so that the bag may hang on a hook. The tab with the press stud is just for decoration.

It should be simple on the outside and peppy on the inside. For her it had to be the pinstriped linen fabric in combination with several different cotton fabrics. How do you like it?
